‘Aphrodite’ Art Card

Aphrodite Art Card, printed on 180gsm cartridge a4 with a white surround border. This is a reproduction of a painting I did for an exhibition on Graffiti and the Degradation of the Inner City Environment. Graffiti is by its’ nature, impermanent, but it is not dissimilar to ancient cave art in some respects. Perhaps it speaks to the human need to create, or to leave something behind to show we were here. This graffiti reminded me of mosaics in ancient Greece – and it is slowly being taken over by plant growth and disintegration of the image.
